It was such an honor to be featured on @ohjoyco blog as part of the “uplifting women” series, alongside super talented @holamijasbonitas. I have been following @ohjoy since as early as I can remember, and she has been such an inspiration to me for so many years. Especially as an AAPI artist myself, it means a lot for me to have other AAPI female leaders in the creative field to look up to as my beacon! 🌟

Some of you guys already know that I’m working on a book, so when I initially had the thought of pitching a book, it was an easy decision to go to ”Oh Joy Academy” for initial guidance. 🙋🏻‍♀️There is honestly not enough HIGH quality resources out there for artist like myself, and Joy not only deliver very easy to understand roadmap but also present them in a really pleasant to look aesthetic, to a visual person like me, that package is GOLD! I even get to talk to her on the phone and she is SUPER nice, offered even more valuable insights on my personal path! Thank you so much @ohjoy !! 🙏🏻💖

🙂As an AAPI woman myself, I used to struggle a lot trying to find a SPACE where I belong. I am not born here, I didn’t really go to college here, I don’t have families here, and I don’t even make work that is recognized as AAPI at first sight. 💝However as I grow older, I realize I no longer want to search for my SPACE, instead I started to create my own SPACE! And if you see this post now, I appreciate you for stopping by my little SPACE! 🥳💖

Some reflection: I used to focus on things that I don’t have more than the ones I do, which led to frustration over appreciation. Thanks to the struggle of 2020, this year I want to change that!! 🌸🌻🌼 I will pay more attention to the staff in the grocery shop, neighbors and their dogs, as well as embrace the creative community on the internet, and many more. I might not have everything figured out at the get go, but I know with the right intention I will be heading to the right direction! 🚎 ✨⁣

Starting my first Kickstarter project has really helped push me to FINISH a personal project, which is not something I used to be good at! Thank you for everyone who has supported me in any ways!! 💖💖💖 More to come!!⁣
